Franchon Crews Dezurn W10 Maricela Cornejo... WBC super middleweight champion Franchon Crews Dezurn (6-1) had to battle for ten rounds to beat late substitute Maricela Cornejo, but she came through, successfully defending her crown for the first time. Crews Dezurn faced a durable opponent, who accepted the title fight just this week, when Alejandra Jiménez could not travel to the United States due to problems with her work visa. Cornejo (13-4) was a worthy rival, soaking up a lot of overhead rights, and exchanging counters  but she was totally outgunned and outmuscled by the sturdy, hard-hitting Crews.
