IBO light heavyweight champion Dominic Boesel (30-1) will face a fellow German, Robin Krasniqi (50-6) on October 10th at the METEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany. The fight was announced on Tuesday at a press conference. It will be Boesel’s first defense of the title after defeating Sven Fornling in November last year to earn the crown. Krasniqi had a tune-up win last month but his last major contest was a 2019 loss to Stefan Haertel. Krasniqi also has losses to German legends Arthur Abraham and Jurgen Braehmer plus a failed 2013 WBO title bid vs. Nathan Cleverly.
