Goulamirian retains bogus WBA title with easy win

Arsen Goulamirian KO4 Kane Watts... Arsen Goulamirian, a top cruiserweight but one with a bogus belt, scored a fourth-round knockout over Kane Watts to retain his WBA cruiserweight super championship. The fight took place at the Accor Hotel Arena in Paris, France. Goulamirian (25-0) put his power on display, as he came forward right from the opening bell, stalking the Australian Watts slowly but with determination. He was throwing powerful hooks and straights as he slowly wore down Watts (21-4), who had no offensive answer. It was in the fourth round that Watts was really starting to show the damage taken, and when he took a powerful left hook to the body, he went down to the canvas on one knee and could not beat the count. [Like most of Goulamirian's opponents, Watts was not really on the world level. Goulamirian has one truly world class win, over now 29-1 Ryad Merhy, but he holds the WBA super championship without ever haven beaten another champion]. Goulamirian is of Armenian descent but trains with Abel Sanchez at the famous Big Bear Lake location in California.  source: wba
