Erickson Lubin Easily Destroys Ishe Smith; Heraldez stops Ramirez

Erickson Lubin TKO3 Ishe Smith: Junior middleweight Erickson "Hammer" Lubin (pictured) made the twentieth victory and fifteenth stoppage of his career a memorable event. Lubin absolutely pummeled former IBF champion Ishe Smith over three terribly one-sided rounds. Lubin (20-1 with 15 KOs) had Smith (29-11 with 12 KOs) down four times, and handed Smith the first stoppage loss of his career. The bout was mercifully stopped in the corner after the third round.
Juan Herladez TKO7 Eddie Ramirez: Junior welterweight Juan Heraldez improved to 16-0 with 10 KOs) with a solid showing against battle-tested Eddie Ramirez (17-3 11 KOs). It was a nip-and-tuck fight that saw Heraldez holding the advantage midway through the fight. In round six, Herladez landed a crushing right hand that floored Ramirez, who got up but would again find himself on the canvas moments later. Heraldez really went for the kill, but punched himself out. That's when Ramirez turned it on, landing a solid counter left hook that and finishing the round as the fresher man. It didn't serve him much good though as Heraldez would floor him for the third and final time in round seven. Ramirez beat the count on shaky legs but the fight was waved off. Official time of stoppage was 2:30. source for both results: showtime
