Martinez vs. Bornea purse bid back on for Feb. 14th

On November 29, 2022, the IBF ordered its super flyweight champion Fernando Martinez and mandatory contender Jade Bornea to begin negotiations for a title fight. A purse bid was ordered for January 17th. A request for an extension to negotiate was requested and approved until January 24th. But on January 27th, Sean Gibbons, who represents Martinez, requested that a purse bid be rescheduled because an agreement could not be made between the camps. The IBF has therefore ordered a purse bid for Tuesday, February 14th at 12:00 PM EST.
