Jackie Nava W10 Karina Fernández... Jackie Nava began the celebration for her twentieth anniversary as a professional boxer by defeating Karina “Bella” Fernández by unanimous decision on a Zanfer show in Tijuana, Mexico. Nava, the 40 year-old “Aztec Princess” Nava (38-4-4) controlled the pace and distance but Fernandez (14-6-1) marked Nava's face with her jab. However, Fernandez usually received return fire from the former champion.  At the end of the ten rounds, Nava won by unanimous decision, with the three judges' scorecards  returning with 100-90, 99-91 and 97-93.

 

Rafael Guzmán W6 - Miguel Ángel Bautista,,,In round six, junior welterweight Rafael "Furioso" Guzmán (24-1) accidentally headbutted Miguel Ángel Bautista (14-5-2), resulting in a Bautista cut that sent the bout to the scorecards.  Guzman was unanimously declared the winner by scores of 60-54 (twice) and 59-55.

 

Carlos López KO1 José Giovany Pinedo... Super flyweight Carlos “Mini” López needed just 38 seconds, including the referee's ten count, to knock out José Giovany Pinedo (5-2). Lopez (15-0-2)  scored his second win of the year. In January, he needed only two rounds to defeat Marcos Muñiz.

 

Ángel García W6 Dorian Tavizon... Popular “Alemán”, Ángel García (7-0) was extended to the full distance for the first time in his career, and also recovered from a knockdown in the first round. However, he wass able to to overcome Dorian Tavizon (4-2) by unanimous decision in a fight with lots of action.
