GLEASON'S GYM CONGRATULATES YURI FOREMAN ON HIS WORLD TITLE WIN

Press Release: Yuri Foreman unanimously defeated former champion Daniel Santos to win the WBA junior middleweight championship. The fight took place last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Yuri dominated the fight, scoring two knockdowns on his way to the victory. All three judges gave the decision to Yuri by wide margins. Yuri Foreman is the first Jewish champion since 1932 [EDITOR'S NOTE: This is a disputed point as Mike Rossman, a WBA light heavyweight champion in the late 1970s is considered by many to be the last Jewish world champion]. Foreman is also the first Israeli boxing world champion in history and the the 132nd world champion out of Gleason's Gym. Gleason's Gym congratulates him!
