EDDIE CHAMBERS: I’M GOING TO DOMINATE WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO
By Matt Goldstein
Where oh where is HBO?
Last night at the Blue Horizon, heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers took the time out between his broadcast for Gofightlive and took a few minutes to talk with Boxingtalk. When asked what he had to say about his upcoming fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on March 20th, Chambers explained, “I’m going to dominate Wladimir Klitschko!” When asked how, Chambers continued, “My jab. I am going to dominate off of my jab. No one believes I can win, but they are all dead wrong. I’m going to dominate.” Besides Chris Byrd, Chambers might be most skilled boxer that Klitschko has ever faced. HBO is opting not to air this fight between two of the top five heavyweights in the world, which is surprising considering some of the stiffs on HBO's air in other fights. Chanbers' skill set could be a big threat to Klitschko, as sometimes it takes a slick, skilled boxer with more speed to take out someone who seems unbeatable. Klitshcko has reeled of 11 wins in a row and is 53-3 with 47 KOs overall, while Chambers has five straight wins since losing to Alexander Povetkin, including big wins against Alexander Dimitrenko and Samuel Peter. Chambers has a professional record of 35-1 with 18 knockouts. Send comments to Boxingtalk@gmail.com.
