BOXINGTALK PREDICTIONS: KHAN-GARCIA
Compiled By John McCormick
Boxingtalkers predict Khan
John McCormick: Amir Khan by late stoppage. Danny Garcia is an ordinary fighter and is nothing special. Khan should win this one easily.
Greg Leon: Khan by stoppage: Too much too soon for Garcia.
Scott Shaffer: I don't like the racist comments coming out of the Garcia camp. No class. Once Khan adjusts to Garcia's speed, he should win by decision. Hopefully, Khan will get treated fairly this time in America.
Doveed Linder: Khan via decision. I view Garcia as good, but not great. Not that Khan is great at this point, but he has great tools and a strong will to win. That will be the difference in an 8-4 type of fight.
Rob Soucy: This is what boxing fans must "settle" for after the fallout from Lamont Peterson testing postive for performance enhancers. But this is actually a really good fight in my opinion. Amir Khan is much more heralded but Danny Garcia can win this scrap. Khan has the better tools but Garcia is just as hungry. It figures to be a distance fight with both fighters having their moments. Look for Khan to beat Garcia to the punch more often than not with his blazing fast hands. Garcia will look to be the counter puncher and will have some success but in the end I see Kahn having too much speed and winning a competitive, but clear decision, 116-112.
Michael Walters: King Khan by unanimous decision in a tough 12 round fight. I think he he will trade more with Garcia and not run as much as he did against Peters
