BOXINGTALK PREDICTIONS: HAYE-CHISORA
Compiled By John McCormick
Majority favors Haye over the crazy man
Greg Leon: David Haye by unanimous decision. If Haye couldnt knock Dereck Chisora out bare fisted in their press conference scuffle, and Vitali Klitschko couldn't put him down over twelve rounds, this will be a distance fight. Haye will comfortably win because his career is over if he loses to a guy that has "lost three fights in a row." [Chisora has lost three in a row but most feel he deserved to get the decision over Robert Helenius].
John McCormick: Haye by unanimous decision. Chisora is no slouch, but I believe Haye's style will cause more problems for him than Vitali Klitschko did.
Scott Shaffer:This is a tough call because who knows how hungry Haye really is? I don't get the vibe that this is a do-or-die fight for him in his mind, and I have always questioned his chin. Still, looking good in a clear loss is not the same thing as winning. I predict Haye by decision but would not be shocked if Chisora was able to stop him.
Doveed Linder: Chisora is physically tough and will be able to stand up to Haye's strong punches. But Chisora is too mentally unreliable to favor him in any type of big fight. His antics are entertaining, but top fighters are generally mature individuals. Plus, Haye is a very good fighter. He just bit off more than he could chew with Wladimir Klitschko, and the fact that he talked a big game beforehand made him look very bad.
Rob Soucy: This grudge match could turn into a wild, foul-filled brawl and I'm not complaining. I see both men hitting the canvass more than once via tackle, rabbit punch, low blow, body slam, and maybe even an elbows or a kick! Derek Chisora is the bigger man but David Haye is probably the better puncher, even as a small heavyweight. When the dust settles I see Haye winning this fiasco by KO in the middle rounds! Michael Walters: I don't know if this is as much of a prediction or just wishing but I like Chisora by brutal KO around the sixth round.
