DOMINIK BRITSCH SIGNS TO AVENGE HIS DRAW
Press Release: IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (26-1, 13 KOs) will defend his title against Troy Ross (25-2, 16 KOs) in Bamberg, Germany on September 15th. The co-feature will rematch middleweight Dominik Britsch (26-0-1, 9 KOs) against Roberto Santos (17-6-2, 9 KOs) from Spain. Their first meeting on February 25th in Stuttgart, Germany ended in a draw. "For me there is no question," said Britsch. "I will be the winner of the rematch." He does see the draw of the first fight as a blemish on his record. After dominating the first eight rounds his legs started to cramp up. "I don't want to use this as an excuse, but the cramps definitely hindered me in executing my game plan. The cut above my right eye from round twelve didn't help either. I was quite happy when the fight ended. I actually did see myself in the lead but the judges had a different opinion. I have the opportunity to better the previous result and make my fans forget about the draw."
