SAUCEDO SIGNS PROMOTIONAL PACT WITH SAMPSON BOXING
Press Release: Promoter Sampson Boxing announced the signing of featherweight Fernando David "El Vasco" Saucedo (46-5-3, 4 KOs) to a long-term promotional agreement. A native of Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Saucedo has only lost one fight since 2004, and that loss was a 2010 decision loss against the true world featherweight champion, Chris John. Saucedo also currently holds a regional title at super featherweight. Saucedo comes from a fighting family, his father, was a former fighter and his trainer before he passed away. "It is the dream of every Argentinean boxer to fight for Sampson Boxing and I am very proud to be associated with Sampson and his company," said Saucedo. "I will fight with all-new fire in my heart for the memory of my late father and to show my new promoter he has made the right choice." The 31-year-old Saucedo will face Chile's Cristian Palma (18-6-1, 5 KOs) on November 3rd in Uruguay. "I am honored to be working with a great boxer like David Saucedo," said Sampson Lewkowicz of the deal. "He has had several cancellations of big fights happen to him in the past, but now that we are working together, we're going to put all that behind him and get him the opportunities to prove what a top-level fighter he has been for all these years."
