SAUERLAND WARNS NIELSEN TO SHAPE UP
Press Release: Middleweight Patrick Nielsen (16-0, 8 KOs) will take on Jamel Bahki (24-3-2, 6 KOs) in Helsinki on November 10th and his promoter, Nisse Sauerland, has warned Nielsen to “travel to Finland in perfect shape”. He said: “Let´s be clear about this: Patrick´s last fight was not as good as we had hoped for. It´s not like he has to make up for something, but knowing his potential, we expect him to put on a better performance in Helsinki. In [his last fight, a decision over Jose Yebes], Patrick got tired early. This must not happen again. It was a good learning experience. Don´t forget that this will be his 17th fight already, and he is just 21!”
Nielsen certainly feels he has something to prove. “I was very angry with myself after the last fight. I know I can perform much better, I show it in practice all the time and I have shown it in the ring, too. I will be on a mission in Helsinki, I plan to dominate every minute of the fight... It might be good to fight on the road, I will have to work extra hard to win the fans over.”
Bahki, from Belgium, believes he can expose his 21-year-old opponent. "Patrick Nielsen is overhyped and his most recent fights are proof of that,” he stated. “He struggled in his last fight against Yebes. If it had been me in the ring with him on that night, he would not have lasted the full 12 rounds. I am ready to hand him his first loss in Helsinki, I am ready to shock him."
In the Finnish main event of the night, undefeated heavyweight Robert Helenius will face Sherman “The Tank” Williams. Dennis Ceylan and Micki Nielsen will also be in action. TV3+ will broadcast live from. Tickets are available at www.lippupalvelu.fi.
