FRED ALLEN PULLS OUT OF MAIN EVENT, POSTPONING ALBANY CARD UNTIL 2013
Press Release: The boxing card originally set for December 14, 2012 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York has been postponed to Saturday, February 2, 2013. According to promoter Joe DeGuardia, the postponement was necessitated because the main event featuring undefeated heavyweights Joe Hanks and Fred Allen fell out when Allen pulled out of the fight. "We deeply regret having to reschedule this event, but we want to be sure to give fans an opponent worthy of facing Hanks for the title. Therefore we are moving the card to February 2nd and we look forward to returning to the Times Union Center and presenting a terrific card," said DeGuardia, president of Star Boxing. Fans may use the December 14th tickets for the rescheduled date on February 2nd or receive a refund at the point of purchase by no later than December 14th.
