NJ COMMISSION ALLEGED TO BE IN DEFAULT OF BOXING LAWSUIT

According to boxing promoter/manager Joe Hand and manager Alfred Nowicki, the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board has failed to answer their lawsuit in a timely fashion and therefore have asked Judge Peter G. Sheridan to issue a default entry. The basis of the lawsuit is that the New Jersey commission improperly voided a management contract that Hand and Nowicki had with undefeated light heavyweight Dennis Hasson. --Scott Shaffer
