THE BOXINGTALK SCOREBOARD
Compiled By Scott Shaffer

Nathan Cleverly W12 Robin Krasniqi... In London, Nathan Cleverly (25-0) continued his string of title defenses over weak opposition, manhandling Robin Krasniqi to retain the WBO 174-pound title. Official scores were 120-108 (twice) and 119-109 as the Welsh Cleverly was far too fast for the lightly credentialed Krasniqi (39-3). The light heavyweight division has been largely stagnant as both Cleverly and WBA titlist Beibut Shumenov continue to avoid tough fights. Cleverly's championship run is made up of wins over Aleksy Kuziemski, Tony Bellew, Tommy Karpency, Shawn Hawk and now Krasniqi. No one would call that a murderer's row.   source: daily mail

Javier Fortuna KO1 Miguel Zamudio... In Atlantic City, New Jersey, featherweight contender Javier Fortuna added to his growing collection of highlight reel knockouts by starching Miguel Zamudio (who has an excellent 25-2-1 record but was virtually untested before this bout) in the first round. Fortuna's explosive left hand caused an initial knockdown and then a knockout, as Zamudio's second trip to the canvas caused him to be carried from the ring on a stretcher. The Dominican Fortuna is now 22-0. source: espn2
