SAUERLAND HOLDING OPEN TRY-OUTS IN DENMARK
Press Release: Team Sauerland is looking for the next Danish boxing sensation. To find the new Mikkel Kessler, Europe's biggest boxing promoter will stage a public work-out at the new Team Sauerland Gym at Butcher's Garage in Copenhagen. Anyone older than 18 can try out in front of an expert jury. “There are a lot of ways to break into boxing,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “Clearly a successful amateur background is the most common way, but a lot of champions have actually been discovered elsewhere. Take, for example, Arthur Abraham or Marco Huck. They just showed up at the gym one day and impressed the trainers so much that they were given a chance. That is exactly the spirit we are looking for. If you think you got what it takes to become a professional boxer, bring your sports gear and come to our new gym on June 9th.” The auditions will start at 11 am with the first of several elimination rounds. The jury will be looking for qualities such as technique, style, power, speed, heart, fitness, agility and star potential. Suitable candidates can win a place on a future boxing show and more regular training with the Team Sauerland coaching staff.
