MIKE OLIVER HEADS DOWN FOR PHILLY FIGHT THIS WEEKEND
Press Release: Mike Oliver has been tabbed at the opponent for featherweight Eric “Outlaw” this Friday night at Harrahs Philadelphia. Oliver of Hartford, Connecticut has a record of 25-5 with 8 knockouts. He turned pro in 2001 and racked up 21 straight wins which included quality wins over Darby Smart, Castulo Gonzalez, Adam Carrera, Gary Stark Jr. and Al Seeger. Now, Oliver will be trying to break a three-fight losing streak against very tough opposition, including former champions Juan Manuel Lopez and Billy Dib. He is coming off an unanimous decision defeat to undefeated Joel Brunker (26-0) on August 17th in Atlantic City. Hunter of Philadelphia has a record of 17-2 with 9 knockouts and he has won two straight. The 2004 Olympic Alternate had a stellar amateur career and in his last bout, he scored a ten round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Jerry Belmontes.
In the eight round co-feature, Julio DeJesus (8-3-3) of Chester, PA takes on Hassan Young (3-1-1) of Philadelphia in a junior welterweight bout... In a four-round welterweight bout, Anthony Prescott (1-2-1) of Cherry Hill, NJ battles debuting Carlos Moore of Virginia... Richard Irizarry of Philadelphia makes his pro debut against Joshua Arocho (3-7-3) of Vineland, NJ in a four-round featherweight bout.... Lightweight Tyrone Crawley Jr. (4-0) of Philadelphia takes on an opponent to be named... In a four-round lightweight bout, Josue Rivera (1-2) of Philadelphia takes on Jesus Barbosa (4-3-1) of Philadelphia.
