I understand you'll be fighting in Chechnya on September 4th. Who will you be fighting? How has everything been going in preparation for the bout? I am fighting Denis Leibeu for the WBO International Title. Training has been going great. Itís my second camp at Kronk in Detroit and I love it. I plan to make a statement in this fight and putting my name with the best in the division.
GL: What do you know about your opponent?
Umar Salamov: "I know he is an experienced fighter I take everyone seriously and am prepared for anything that happens in the ring."
GL: Are there any names you're looking to get into the ring to take your career to the next level?
US: "Dmitriy Bivol , Eleider Alvarez all the champions but I would take on Sullivan Barrera, Joe Smith if need be to get my shot."
GL: Will your next fight take place in the United States?
US: "My focus is on September 5th but I hope to fight in the United States before end of the year."
GL: Where do you see yourself one year from now?
US: "Light Heavyweight Champion of the world."
GL: What did you think about the Alvarez-Kovalev fight?
US: "It was a good fight, but Kovalev is a great fighter who may have lost a step."
