QUICK HITS: BRANDON ROBINSON
By G. Leon
Rapidly Rising Super Middleweight Is One To Watch
On First Fight In Six Months: "Me and my team knew stuff was going to slow down around this time. I have a great trainer that's going to be the best trainer in the city if not now, we definitely going to show them that Rashad Brown is the best trainer in the city. His vision is so clear, he told me that when I get to 10-1 things would slow down, so he's been keeping my mindset right, keeping me in the gym and keeping me hungry you know what I'm saying, so we had time to work on certain things so that we're not working too hard to try to cut so much weight off. Everything is looking just the way we planned."
On Step Up Fight: "Exactly. That's what they're telling me. I only had three amateur fights and I've moved so quickly through these past ten fights that we want to make sure I'm well seasoned before I really step it up, but September 14th is a step in the right direction. That time will come when I'm in a really big fight though as long as I keep doing what I'm supposed to do in the gym and outside the gym. As long as I keep doing that I'm going to be around for a long time."
