BOXING RETURNS TO INDIANA ON APRIL 19TH

Press Release: Boxing returns to Northwest Indiana on Saturday, April 19, 2008 when junior welterweight "Merciless" Mary McGee (13-0, 7 KOs) puts her regional title on the line at the Majestic Star Casino & Hotel in Gary. Last October, 21-year-old McGee racked up an eighth-round knock out over Tawnyah Freeman. This time, McGee will face an opponent to be announced shortly. Also on the show, Ed Ochoa (3-0 3 KOs) will be in a four-round welterweight bout. Ochoa has proven tremendously popular with area fans. Light heavyweight Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-1, 1 KO), one of the region's most popular fighters, looks to rebound from a December loss against an opponent to be named. Also, heavyweight Mike Parker (5-0, 4 KOs) is anxious to return to the ring after having been sidelined with an injury. Of his five professional bouts, Parker has won four by knock out. Presented by Octavius James' One In A Million Inc., tickets for the six-bout card are available from any Ticket Master location.
