WBA titlist claims [cough, cough] laryngitis

According to a report on ESPN.com, Ruslan Chagaev has withdrawn from a WBA heavyweight title defense scheduled for May 31, 2008 in Germany. His promoter, Universum, claims Chagaev is suffering from laryngitis. Chagaev pulled out of a unification bout against Sultan Ibragimov last year, and rumors circulated that he had hepatitis. he came back to make one defense against Matt Skelton, and then faced a mandatory defense against Nikolai Valuev, whom he beat once before. source: espn.com
