EL GATO STILL WITH SEENO GROUP

PRESS RELEASE: Yaseen Malnik, president of Seeno Group Boxing announcesd “Francisco 'El Gato' Figueroa has decided not to continue disputing our exclusive promotional contract and he will continue to fight for Seeno Group Boxing. It is unfortunate that boxers and promoters don’t always see eye to eye, however after the ongoing disagreements between Figueroa and Seeno Group, I’m pleased that Figueroa appreciates Seeno Group’s past services and will continue to fight under the Seeno Group Boxing umbrella.” Malnik added, “Figueroa and I have put all of our disagreements behind us. We will work hard together to continue moving him up the rankings and towards a shot at the world title. Figueroa is now ready to fight the best 140 pound fighters in the world. I signed him in 2006, because I believed then that he could be a very attractive 140-pound world champion and I continue to feel the same way know.” Figueroa has not lost a fight since 2004 and is on a ten-fight win streak. Figueroa’s next bout will be May 14, 2008 as the main event on ESPN’S Wednesday Night Fights.
