Dominican junior welterweight Alberto “La Avispa” Puello (17-0) will return to the ring on December 17th in his home country to face Argentina's Cristian Rafael Coria (29-7-2) at the Catalonia Malecon Center Hotel in Santo Domingo. At stake will be Puello's WBA interim 147-pound belt. Puello came close to a fight in the United States a couple of months ago but visa problems prevented him from doing so.  The San Juan de la Maguana native won the interim belt in July 2019 against Jonathan Alonso. His first defense will be against a the 38 year-old Coria, coming off a quality victory over Joel Diaz, Jr.
