Alexander Besputin in trouble for doping

Even when the WBA tries to do right a wrong, the organization creates further corruption. The WBA Championship Committee decided to take the WBA regular welterweight title from Alexander Besputin, who was suspended for six months due to testing positive in an anti-doping test. [Manny Pacquiao is the WBA super champion at welterweight]. That's a good move. Here's the problem: Besputin tested positive after beating fellow Russian Radzhab Butaev for the  secondary belt. Now that the result of that bout is tainted, the only fair and reasonable solution is to have Butaev fight for the once-again vacant title against the highest ranked contender, Yordenis Ugas. Instead the WBA will give the deserving Ugas a lay-up for the secondary title against Abel Ramos. The winner of Ugas vs. Ramos will then have to defend vs. Butaev. Verdict: unfair to Butaev, who has now been cheated twice- once by Besputin, once by the WBA.
