In a battle of fringe heavyweight contenders, Dave Allen (24-7-2) is set to for action this Saturday against Arslanbek Makhmudov (33-5 including the World Series of Boxing)  in the main event at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, United Kingdom. The bout pits two seasoned heavyweights against each other with a likely big fight headed in the winner's direction. Allen, age 33, comes into the fight riding momentum from a major career win last May over Johnny Fisher. “The White Rhino” avenged his prior defeat to Fisher with an emphatic technical knockout victory. Across the ring will stand Makhmudov, age 36, one of the most feared punchers in the division. The Russian powerhouse is coming off a first-round knockout win over previously unbeaten Ricardo Brown, a statement victory that helped him rebound from a tough loss to Guido Vianello in August 2024.
