Amanda Serrano to headline in San Juan on March 2nd

Jake Paul has announced that his MVP Promotions will put on a big show at El Coliseo De Puerto Rico in San Juan on March 2nd. Paul will fight on the show against an opponent to be named later, but the main event will feature world featherweight champion Amanda Serrano in a homecoming bout against Germany's Nina Meinke (18-3).

A Puerto Rican icon, Serrano is ecstatic about the prospect of fighting at home: "2024, I start the year in one of the biggest events globally & the biggest boxing card ever in my Island of Puerto Rico. I get another 7+ figure payday. If you’re a female fighter, believe in yourself and know that all of this is achievable if you work hard and don’t compromise your class. Stay humble and yes you can become rich without disrespecting others."

In another tweet, Serrano gushed, "Insane is an understatement. I’m on cloud nine! To have my manager Jake Paul be my co-main (event) is so humbling, I’ve literally cried. He’s nothing near what people say and I get to live and experience it time and time again. My real question is, am I deserving of this all? I love and respect Jake and regardless of what anyone says, when I end my career it’ll be under him and Nakisa [Bidarian]’s handling. I’m going nowhere!"

Paul, who just scored a  first-round knockout last week, tweeted, "Guess who’s back… Jake already? Yes, I’m on a mission. But this one is much bigger than me. This one is for the greatest Puerto Rican boxer ever, Amanda Serrano. This one is for the people of Puerto Rico, from the Coliseo to the world. This one is for all of boxing to see how powerful women are in this sport and for Wanna Walton to usher in his superstar boxing future in front of 20,000 people. I can’t wait to fight in San Juan and show the world this beautiful island."
