Benavidez: Dirrell won't go the distance on September 28th

Undefeated former WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez (pictured) is on a mission to get his belt back. Known as the Red Flag, Benavidez lost his title to the white powder, but has since gotten himself back together. He returned to the ring and destroyed former prospect J'Leon Love in two rounds and he's now slightly more than two months away from getting the green belt "back where it belongs". Boxingtalk spoke to Benavidez after Caleb Plant's victory and he made it clear to us that he doesn't see the current WBC champion Anthony Dirrell going twelve rounds with him. "I've been watching Anthony Dirrell since I was 13 years old and I have a lot of respect for him, but he's an older fighter and I need to get my belt back so on September 28th, he's getting knocked out," said Benavidez. Full interview with the undefeated young gun to follow shortly.
