Nika Bigvava W10 Freeman Mabvonwe... In a super middleweight fight that was evidence that you don't need glossy records to make a war, local man Nika Bigvava beat Freeman Mabvonwe from Zimbabwe on Saturday night. The ten rounder was held at the New Sports Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia with the spectators on their feet from start to finish. Bigvava was better in most rounds, but it was nevertheless a close and competitive affair where both men had their moments. The scores, 99-91 (Gela Skhirtladze), 98-92 (Vaja Tsatsiashvili) and 100-90 (Davit Nazarashvili) appear too wide and doesn't do the effort of Mabvonwe justice. Now 7-7-1, Bigvava is still only 23 years of age and therefore has time to develop into a force, despite his current mediocre record. Mabvongwe, age 27 drops to 8-6. The fight was promoted by Boxing Group Promotions.
