Gvozdyk by Split Decision: I think the clock will finally strike twelve on Adonis Stevenson's championship reign. He's up there in age (41) and I don't think he can sustain the activity level needed win a twelve-round decision. Oleksandr Gvodzyk's pedigree should not be discounted. He won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics, and if you include the World Series of Boxing in his record he's 24-0 as a pro. The only thing that troubles me is the present of a Canadian judge— how did the WBC allow that? So I am going to predict that Gvodzyk dominates most of the fight but wins by split decision -Scott Shaffer
Steven by Unanimous Decision:Stevenson by UD: Many fans believe Gvozdyk will be able to hurt the older man in Adonis Stevenson the same way many fans thought Badou Jack was going to hurt Superman and we all saw the final outcome of that fight. Critics can say whatever they want about Stevenson but let's not forget Superman has fought tough opponents like Boone, Dawson, Cloud, Bellew, Bika, Fonfara and now a strong undefeated puncher in Gvozdyk which says a lot about Adonis! I believe Stevenson's experience, big heart, powerful hands, ref and judges on his side will be a difficult task for Gvozdyk. -Ivan Montiel
Gvozdyk by SD - Adonis Stevenson emerged as a surprisingly good fighter over the last six or seven years. He's been champion a long time, but I think the fact that he didn't fight the best of his time has something to do with that. As a light heavyweight, he missed fights against Sergey Kovalev, Andre Ward, Jean Pascal, and Lucian Bute. There's no denying that he's a true force, but at age 41, I think it's time for a young lion to dethrone him. -Doveed Linder
Gvozdyk 10th round stoppage: Badou Jack exposed Stevenson as an ordinary fighter whose extraordinary power can be nullified by moving to the left. Gvozdyk is a better boxer than Jack and with the addition to Teddy Atlas in his corner, I expect Gvozdyk to walk Stevenson into a counter left hook he never sees coming somewhere in the later rounds. Of course, Stevenson's eraser, arguably the most powerful left hand in the history of the light heavyweight division, could end matters with any well landed shot and make me look foolish for picking against him. -G.
