Manager Keith Connolly says that Danny Jacobs has retired in the wake of last weekend's loss to Shane Mosley, Jr. Boxingtalk salutes the former IBF middleweight champion on a great career that saw him go 37-5 and also win a WBA regualr title. Connolly wrote on social media: "I spent twenty years in the boxing world with Danny Jacobs. I was with him from day one and with him all the way to the finish. What an incredible fighter. He won 2 world championships after beating cancer and after coming back from being paralyzed for months from the waist down. It was the honor of a lifetime to represent you and also to be your friend. Thank you for all the thrills you gave me. What a career. Enjoy retirement."
