According to MyRGV.com, a news website based in Texas' Rio Grande Valley, former WBC super bantamweight champion Brandon Figueroa was arrested on Sunday for allegedly driving while intoxicated (DWI), and was brought to Hidalgo County jail. According to the report, Figueroa had a blood-alcohol concentration level of 0.15%. Last November, Figueroa lost a unification bout to Stephen Fulton, but he returned in July with a quality win over Carlos Castro that raised Figueroa's record to 23-1-1.
