After suffering the first loss of her career in January, Canadian light flyweight Kim Clavel returned with a hometown win at Bell Place in Laval, Quebec, Canada, in front of more than 2,000 fans. Clavel (17-1) defeated Mexico's Naomi Reyes (9-3) by unanimous decision. The judges’ scores were 96-94 and 98-92 (twice), all in favor of the Canadian fighter. At the end of the fight, Clavel commented that she will seek a rematch against her conqueror, WBC/WBA champion Yesica Nery Plata.
