Collazo defeated Gerardo Zapata of Nicaragua via unanimous decision. Zapata did not go quietly, staggering Collazo in round two. Official scores were 117-110 and 119-109 (twice). Collazo is now 10-0 while Zapata, in just his first twelve rounder, returns home with a record of 14-2-1. The title fight took place in Verona, New York as part of the International Boxing Hall of Fame's induction weekend.
