The result was a ninth-round technical knockout win over Colombia's Alexi Rivera on Friday at the Coliseo de Combates Pandeportes,  Hernandez showed a great command of the ring against a southpaw opponent. The 31 year-old Hernandez is now 17-1 and continued the momentum of a knockout win in August against Juan Rodolfo Juarez. Rivera’s record dropped to 11 wins and 4 losses.
