According to the respected website Asian Boxing, Japan's Daigo Higa lost his WBC flyweight title on the scales today, as he weighed in at 114 for a planed title defense against Nicaragua's Cristofer Rosales (26-3). The popular Japanese puncher (15-0 with 15 KOs) was unable to get down to 112 pounds within the two-hour window. The fight will likely go on tomorrow, but Higa must be less than 122 pounds tomorrow morning. --Scott Shaffer
