Promoter Oscar De La Hoya takes a shot at the WBC, who is breaking their own rules by not enforcing a mandatory defense against middleweight champion Jermall Charlo, inactive since June 2021. Oscar tweeted: "Why the fack is the WBC protecting Jermall Charlo. Hasn’t made a tittle defense in 18 months and guess who’s #1? Jaime Munguia [whom De La Hoya's company promotes}. Let’s go!!"
