Demond Nicholson: I'm going to make Steve Rolls quit

GL: How has everything gone in preparation? What can we expect to see from you on Friday night? Preparation has been great. It's been a long eight weeks. I've had some great sparring. I sparred with Alantez Fox in the beginning and the last six weeks with Jarrett Hurd, I also got some work in with Immanuwel Aleem, the guy I fought last time out. Other than that, I've been putting a whole lot of work in. You should expect to see greatness on Friday. It should be a great night of boxing, you're going to see the hard work I've been putting in.

GL: What do you know about Steve Rolls? What are your thoughts of him as a fighter?

Demond Nicholson: "My thoughts on Steve Rolls is you can't make it to 15-0 without knowing something about boxing. I saw his fight with Steve Woodall and to me that was his best opponent and he got the stoppage. He did well. I don't really know the other guys he fought. He's a pretty decent dude. He's not the youngest guy, but he's not too experienced either. I'm going to take it to his chest and see what he knows."

GL: What do you consider your biggest advantage coming into the ring?

DN: "My experience."

GL: So even though he's older than you, you feel that you've been in with the better opposition.

DN: "Most definitely."

GL: Have you studied him on tape at all?

DN: "I studied the Steve Woodall fight because like I said that was his best opponent. I studied that fight a lot, I see his mistakes and see some things I'm going to be able to counter on."

GL: What kind of weaknesses do you see that you feel you're going to be able to exploit?

DN: "He has flat feet. He's very flat footed and has no footwork at all. I'm going to use my footwork on him and see what he can do with it and then just attack from there."

GL: What would a victory over Rolls mean to you?

DN: "It's the beginning. Neither of us is highly ranked, but he's undefeated so a win over him would just be the beginning for me."

GL: How do you feel about being televised on Shobox on Hall of Fame Weekend?

DN: "That's a very big thing for me. Jimmy Lennon Jr will be the announcer so it's going to be great. I thank DiBella Entertainment and my manager Thomas Williams for putting this together for me."

GL: How did you and Thomas link up for him to be your manager?

DN: "I've known Thomas since I was six years old. He's been boxing since I started. I recently left my old gym and was talking to Thomas and he said hey man, let me manage you. I figured I'd give him a chance because I can trust Thomas, so that's how that happened."

GL: Other than victory do you have a prediction?

DN: "I think I'm going to force him to quit by the sixth round."

GL: Closing thoughts?

DN: "I appreciate the interview, the fans could expect to see the best of me even though the best is really yet to come. I appreciate all of the fans fot the support, make sure you tune in to Shobox this weekend."
