Dubai to host highly competitive show on Dec. 9th

On December 9th in Dubai, the IBA will present several professional bouts plus very high-level amateurs facing each other in pro-style boxing format. The three purely professional professional fights scheduled are  2016 Olympic champion Evgeny Tishchenko (20-3 as a pro including the World Series of Boxing) from Russia against Germany's Leon Harth (22-5-1) in twelve-round bout; 2021 Olympic silver medal winner Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (2-0 as a pro including the World Series of Boxing) versus Germany's Artur Mann (20-3) in ten-round cruiserweight bout, and world heavyweight amateur champion Mark Petrovskii (6-0) fighting Australia's Lucas Browne (31-4) in another scheduled ten-round contest.

In the main event, Olympic champion from Russia Albert Batyrgaziev faces three-time world amateur champion from Cuba, Lazaro Alvarez for a first of a kind IBA professional title in a ten-round bout in the 60 kilogram (approximately 132-pound) weight category.

Saidjamshid Jafarov from Uzbekistan faces Sewonrets Okazawa, from Japan, in 71 kg (approximately 156-pound) division fight... Aliaksei Alfiorau from Belarus challenges Loren Alfonso representing Azerbaijan in an 86 kg (roughly 190-pound) contest.

‘The fight card promises to deliver a great IBA Champions’ Night that will crown the year,’ IBA Secretary General and CEO Chris Roberts OBE said. ‘The first IBA title will be truly memorable as these boxers have challenged each other several times, and every boxer has a victory against the other. It is going to be an exciting night of fights and we will have five more brilliant challenges between strong rivals. I am looking forward to enjoying it together with boxing fans from around the world.’
