Uprising Promotions is set for a return to the ring at the Léman Ballroom in New York City next Thursday, May 29th, with Broad Street Brawl set to deliver a night of boxing and entertainment. Headlined by the amateur boxing debut of former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams, the card will also feature a live performance from rising music star Yung Wylin' during the show. The action-packed event will raise funds for Bigvision Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young adults in recovery from substance abuse, and a limited number of tickets remain on sale now. “We have been receiving tremendous support for Broad Street Brawl, and we are really pleased with the direction of this show,” said Ronson Frank, president of Uprising Promotions. “Bigvision Community represents a remarkable cause, and they have been a great partner for us. We have also received national media coverage on Michael-Carter Williams making his boxing debut, and Young Wylin’ is a young up-and-coming star who will be bringing another element of fun to this entertaining night.”
Carter-Williams was a standout guard from Syracuse University and the 11th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He made an immediate impact in the league.
