Ireland's Feargal McCrory (15-0, 7 KOs) will face Carlos Carlson (25-7, 16 KOs) of Mexico this Friday night in a super featherweight contest to be held at the Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City. The Irishman is 31 years old and has been a professional boxer since 2015. His career was based in the United Kingdom until 2019 but then he was inactive through 2022, at which time he resumed fighting, but on American soil.  Carlson, age 33, represents the grit of Mexican boxing and is far more experienced than his opponent. The Mexican has faced the likes of former champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev, Keenan Carvajal and Genesis Servania, among others. He has an aggressive style and will try to adapt to this heavuer weight class, since his best fights have been at featherweight and super bantamweight.
