Fury wins when Wach remains on stool

Tyson Fury TKO7 Marius Wach ... In Pattaya, Thailand, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury defeated Poland's Marius Wach when the 46-year old quit on his stool after the seventh round. The result means that a British super fight between Fury and another British former world champion, Anthony Joshua, is now one step closer. Joshua fights on Saturday in Saudi Arabia vs. another soft touch, Kristian Prenga. Fury, age 37, is now 36-2-1 with two wins this year after two straight losses in world championship fights vs. Oleksandr Usyk.

The WBC wrote: "From the opening bell, the former heavyweight world champion dictated the pace with his trademark footwork, speed precision and high IQ ring generalship. Wach displayed the teak toughness that has defined his career, but gradually buckled under Fury’s relentless attack.Fury landed powerful combinations throughout the contest, punishing both the body and head of his opponent until Wach’s corner humanely decided to stop the fight at the end of the seventh round, giving the British star a technical knockout victory."
