Ryan Garcia has flip-flopped again and is back to pursuing a fight against WBC junior welterweight champion Devin Haney. Garcia tweeted: "Things are moving forward Devin Haney. Just hit [up my promoter] Oscar De La Hoya. He will talk to Bill [Devin's father and Manager, Bill Haney] later on today. We will get this done."
Garcia was responding to Haney's social media comment: "Oscar come with a real offer.. or quit wasting my time. Ryan Garcia, talk to your boy Oscar De La Hoya."

JAN. 7, 2023: Garcia is going through a lot of changes in both his professional and personal lives. On the boxing front, Garcia says he wants to fight WBA junior welterweight champion Rollie Romero, not WBC champion Devin Haney. Garcia tweeted: "I’ve notified my team I’m going a different route. My intent now is to fight Rolando Romero. I pray my team [Golden Boy Promotions] backs me on this decision. Oscar [De La Hoya,] make this fight happen. That's the move. Bigger fight, bigger business."
Haney's response: "Don’t ever mention my name p*ssy boi."
On the personal front, Garcia made a bewildering two-post sequence on Instagram, but the second one was deleted shortly afterwards. First, Garcia posted on social media: "Honored to announce my beautiful first born son, praise the Lord. I am so thankful, I love him so much already. He is so fast already haha. Took him just 8 minuted to arrive. You know where he got that speed from lol. God did! And God will. [Introducing] Henry Leo Garcia. He will be ten times stronger, ten times wise, ten times better looking but he will need to work ten times harder. Thank you Lots, I love you."
A little while later, according to TMZ, Garcia posted and then deleted his intent to get a divorce: "As I step into a new chapter in my life, it’s with a heavy heart to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce. While this decision marks the end of our marriage, it’s important to emphasize that our relationship as coparent remains our top priority. Throughout the years together, Drea has been an incredible partner, and an even more extraordinary mother to our two children. I’m deeply grateful for the years we shared and her unwavering commitment to our family. As we move forward, my focus remains on the health and well-being of our two beautiful kids. They are always will be my first priority. I’m fully committed to working together with Drea to make sure our children’s needs and best interest always guide a path forward. I believe our mutual devotion to our children is rock solid, and I trust that together, we will continue to provide them with the love, support, and stability they deserve. In this time of transition, we kindly ask for respect and understanding for our families privacy. We are thankful for the support of those who stood by us over the years."
