The WBA KO Drugs festival returns on Saturday, August 15th at the Casino Buenos Aires in Argentina’s capital. In the main event, Argentine featherweight Adrián Robledo (13-1) will square off against Ghana's John Laryea (17-0-1) in a WBA featherweight title eliminator. The winner will earn a shot at the world title currently held by Brandon Figueroa. Meanwhile, the 154-pound division will see a closely contested showdown as Italy’s Piergiulio Ruhe (19-1) and Venezuela’s David Álvarez (18-0) go head-to-head.

 

At flyweight, Spanish Olympian Samuel Carmona (20-4 including the World Series of Boxing) will face experienced Venezuelan Josber Pérez (24-4). At junior lighweight, French stylist Sofiane Oumiha (16-1 including the World Series of Boxing) will look to showcase his class against rugged local favorite Freddy Laínez (22-5-1). Ouimha was an Olympic silver medal winner 2024.

 

At 140 pounds, Uruguay’s Javier Cardozo will face Argentina’s Rubén Muñoz... Meanwhile, at 102 pounds, local fighter Aldana Florencia López will take on Mexico’s Elizabeth Cruz.
