Greg Hardy W4 Hasim Rahman Jr.... An overlooked upset last weekend was former NFL player and mixed martial artist Greg Hardy upsetting Hasim Rahman Jr. in Hardy's boxing debut. Hardy was 7-6 in his post-football MMA career but had lost three straight when he got the call to fill in for Vitor Belfort on short notice to be Rahman's replacement in Austin, Texas. The 320-pound Hardy (who has domestic violence issues in his past) outweighed Rahman by about 94 pounds but was still expected to lose. Instead Hardy (1-0) knocked Rahman down and went on to defeat Rahman (15-2) by decision. Afterward, Rahman tweeted, "What y’all think about cruiserweight? Alhamdulillah I’m OK! Thank you all for the prayers. I’ll be back ten times better next time. No excuses. Back in action in 2023."
