Harlem Eubank TKO11 Timo Schwarzkopf... Harlem Eubank's Brighton (England) homecoming a strong performance as he stopped Timo Schwarzkopf of Germany in round eleven. Eubank was the first of his famous fighting family to headline in their hometown since Chris Eubank Sr. defended his world title in the seaside resort, in the early 1990s. And the 29 year-old Eubank didn't disappoint the Brighton faithful, as he became the first man to halt the battle-hardened Schwarzkopf (22-6). Eubank floored Schwarzkopf in the third round. The winner improved his pro record to 19-0 when a round-eleven whipping right hook sent his opponent to the canvas for the second time. Schwarzkopf got to his feet but the referee determined he was in no condition to carry on and stopped the fight after 42 seconds of the penultimate round.
Harlem Eubank told Channel 5: "It was great... Timo doesn't get stopped but I showed what I can do. I can move, I can dance and I can sting them. I dropped him early, showed the perserverance and got the finish. That was the special homecoming I wanted. Look at the support, it's crazy and it was a beautiful reception from my home people. If you get past the trickery, get past the dancing then you'll see the power."
Lerrone Richards W8 Mickey Ellison... In light heavyweight action on the same show, Lerrone Richards outpointed Mickey Ellison over eight rounds. The referee judged Richards the winner by the score of 79-74. Richards, a former IBO, European and British champion at super middleweight, is now 18-0 for his career and 2-0 in the 175-pound category. Ellison slides to 14-6.
