The IBF is in the process of setting up a flyweight elimination bout. Japan's Masimichi Yabuki is the reigning IBF champion at 112 pounds. On January 13th, the IBF ordered Tobias J. Reyes of Argentina and Miel Fajardo of the Philippines to begin negotiations. Reyes is 18-1-1 and coming off a win over previously undefeated Pedro Alarcon. Reyes' lone loss was in a 2024 IBF eliminator vs. former 108-pound champion Felix Alvarado. Fajardo is 13-3-2 with two wins in 2025 following two losses in 2024. If no agreement is reached between Reyes and Fajardo, the IBF will hold a purse bid on March 3rd.
