Inoue weighs 133.6 pounds thirty days before title defense

Future Hall of Famer Naoya Inoue will defend his undisputed world 122-pound champion against former two-belt champion Murodjon “MJ” Akhmadaliev on September 14th at the IG Arena in Nagoya, Japan. This will be the second time this year that Naoya Inoue will fight a day after Saúl “Canelo” Alvarez as “Canelo” will be facing Terence Crawford in a battle of champions in Las Vegas. Inoue has called Akhmadaliev the most difficult opponent he has faced in his career. Naoya “Monster” Inoue holds an undefeated record of 30 wins, with 27 of them coming by KO. Murodjon “MJ” Akhmadaliev has a record of 14-1 with 11 KOs. Four of his last five victories have come by knockout.
