Jake Paul wins easily in un-serious pay-per-view fight

Jake Paul TKO1 Ben Askren... Jake Paul stopped Ben Askren in round one of an entertainment event that fell short of serious boxing. Paul landed a two-punch combination that sent Askren to the canvas hard. Askren got up but staggered slightly 0and the fight was immediately halted. Fans speculated it was a dive, but Boxingtalk thinks the knock down was legit but Askren's lack of preparation was a disgrace. Askren was seen leaving the ring with a big smile on his face, the grin of a man who got a huge payday for two minutes of work. Since Askren was a retired MMA fighter with no prior pro boxing matches, it was clear he has little sense of pride in his boxing performance. Paul celebrated wildly, but to his credit, he was well prepared to fight. The pay-per-view broadcast leaned heavily on humor, marijuana smoking and cursing, with little room for serious boxing analysis. Still, it was expected to be a huge financial success thanks to Paul's drawing power. Paul is now 3-0 and looked good in his very limited action tonight but if this pay-per-view sold well, he'll have little incentive to face real boxers. source: triller pey-per-view
