Since Askren was a retired MMA fighter with no prior pro boxing matches, it was clear he has little sense of pride in his boxing performance. Paul celebrated wildly, but to his credit, he was well prepared to fight. The pay-per-view broadcast leaned heavily on humor, marijuana smoking and cursing, with little room for serious boxing analysis.
