Bakhodir Jalolov TKO5 Kamil Sokolowski... "The Big Uzbek," 2021 Olympic champion Bakhodir Jalolov won his heavyweight bout in Dubai by fifth-round technical knockout over trial horse Kamil Sokolowski. There was a debatable knockdown of Sokolowski in round two. After a legitimate knockdown in round five, the referee seemed to
stop the fight prematurely. Sokolowski is just 11-25-2 but went the eight-round distance with contender Otto Wallin last month. Jalolov is billed as having a pro record of 10-0 but he also fought in the World Series of Boxing, making 13-3 a more accurate pro record.
Shabaz Masoud TKO2 Yoann Boyeux... British super bantamweight Shabaz Masoud stopped Yoann Boyeux (43-7) early. Punches from the ‘Maverick’ convinced the more experienced French rival to quit at the end of the second round. Masoud moves to 10-0 and said afterwards, “I came out for the first bell and I was looking for the stoppage – I wanted to make a bit of a statement,” said Masoud, who hails from Stoke-on-Trent. “I’m ready for step-ups in class now, I’ve been saying that for a long time. I know what I am capable of and my team and my family know what I am capable of.”
